Dr. Shoup was born in Rochester, New York and raised in Dallas, Texas. Her interest in neurology first began after learning about the action potential of the neuron during undergraduate school. Dr. Shoup's professional interests include all aspects of neurology, client interaction, and parasitology. Dr. Shoup has a personal interest in marine mammals after having participated in a care and training internship with the US Navy Marine Mammal Program in 2012.
